Overview
The Oxford and Bristol Surgical Trials Units will be holding a three-day surgical research training event on Surgical Trials for Core and Specialist Trainees registered in the Oxford and Severn Deaneries.
Topics to be covered include:
- Why we need randomised trials
- Formulating the research question
- Choosing a trial design
- Outcome measures
- How to set up a randomised trial
- Basic statistics for randomised trials

Cost
Free! (supported by Severn and Oxford Deaneries and the RCS.) Transportation and accommodation costs for Bristol attendees will be supported. Of note: Participants must be able to attend all three days.
